Desk Chair Roundup
With so many of us working from home these days, I thought I’d put together a little roundup of desk chairs that are stylish and comfortable. For me, it’s important to have a comfortable desk chair, but I also want to be sure it’s stylish and doesn’t feel too utilitarian. Below are a few pieces I’ve been sourcing for clients lately that I’m loving and would work well with many styles and color palettes.
Oversized Ottoman Roundup
One of the most frequently asked about items in our home is our living room ottoman. It was a great find from Pottery Barn a few years ago, but sadly is no longer sold. So today, I’ve done a roundup of some oversized ottomans that would be great to use instead of a coffee table, and have even sourced a couple of very similar options to ours. I love the more relaxed feel and functionality an ottoman brings to a living space, and think they can really add personality and uniqueness to a design.

With the additional time we’re all spending at home right now, I’m sure there are many of you who are starting to organize spaces in your home, or are looking for some storage solutions. Today I’ve rounded up some great storage and organization items for key spaces in case you are looking to make some changes around your home this spring!

Natural Seating with Serena and Lily
A while back I mentioned that our master bedroom is the only space in our home that we haven’t purchased any furniture for since moving from our under 600 square foot apartment. I’m currently in the process of updating a few pieces to not only accommodate the larger space, but to better suit our current needs. The first thing on the list for me was updating the accent chair to something I felt more excited about and would want to spend time in.
On a trip to the Chicago almost two years ago, I visited the Serena and Lily store and fell in love with the Venice Rattan Chair. The shape and texture it adds to a space is great, and it’s very comfortable—especially when you add in one of their oversized 24x24” pillows and super cushioned down insert.
I’m actually in the process of changing out all my old feather inserts to Serena and Lily down inserts because I love the quality of them. They fill out the pillows nicely, but more importantly I like that they feel very supportive if you like to use them to lean back on when sitting down.
I added the chair cushion in the Perennials Basketweave Chalk since I wanted this to be a great space to sit back and lounge, and just enjoy the peaceful atmosphere in our bedroom. This is one of my favorite spaces in our home, and everything I bring into the space is carefully thought out. I want this to be the most calming space to fall asleep to in the evenings, yet also inspiring and cheerful when I open my eyes in the morning.
For me, this feeling is largely attributed to the white walls in combination with the natural textures I’ve added into the space. I love the way natural materials can provide warmth, while still feeling polished and approachable. Pulling in this element with natural seating is a great way to achieve this look in any space. Serena and Lily has so may beautiful options that can easily be incorporated into many design styles and spaces in your home. I love the look of natural seating in just about any room, whether it be an armchair, dining chair, bench, or barstool. I will link a few of my favorites below!
