I can’t believe Thanksgiving is only a week away! It seems like November has really flown by this year. Today I’m sharing some Thanksgiving tablescape inspiration. I’ve kept the look very simple, casual, and affordable.
I’ve added in some natural texture to the table with the woven chargers and the DIY candleholders I made this week. I brought in a simple natural linen napkin and tucked it between my stoneware plates that have a more organic look to them.
I kept the floral arrangement to more muted, earthy tones. I love the touch of rusty brown that the magnolia brought it, so I cut a few of my hydrangeas from the front yard and added them to bring in more of that rusty tone to the arrangement.
I like the mix of metals that the brass compote and the hammered silver flatware bring to the table. The fluted drinking glasses keep the design looking polished but not too formal. To keep the tablescape more causal I’ve skipped doing a tablecloth or runner, and opted for just the woven chargers and cloth napkins to elevate the dining ware from our everyday look.
I hope this these simples touches inspire you all to create a more special look for your table to celebrate the holiday, even if you’re doing so in smaller groups this year.
Ever since I transformed our ottoman with the camel boucle fabric cover I knew I wanted to bring in a new rug that was more neutral, but still added in a lot of texture and coziness to the space. With our new puppy I knew that whatever I brought in would have to be very durable and easy to clean. The first place I looked was the Dash and Albert line of rugs from Annie Selke. They are my go to whenever I have clients that request durable and easy to clean rugs, because they have such a large selection of well made rugs that will hold up to high traffic areas, kids, and pets.
I’ve been using their P.E.T. line for a while now, and I loved the look and texture of the Veranda Ivory Indoor/Outdoor Rug. It’s eco-friendly polyester fiber is made from recycled plastic bottles, but it still has a soft wool-like feel. It feels great underfoot, and has been so nice to lay on lately while we’ve spent hours playing with Mimi and our new puppy, Eoghan!
The tightly woven fibers have been holding up well to the dogs’ many daily play sessions, and I’m glad to know that the rug is scrubbable and hoseable in case I need to clean it in the future. Knowing that we’ll always have dogs in our home, I’m glad that Annie Selke has a large selection of rugs to choose from that are stylish and functional for our lifestyle.
I just love the chunky texture of this rug, and think it is going to look great with all of our holiday decor! I will be sure to post an update on my instagram when I get this space decorated in the next few weeks.
I got a couple new trees to add to our decor this year, and while I was sourcing them I ended up finding so many nice faux options in a range of price points. Today I’m sharing a few of my favorite affordable options, along with a few splurge worthy options that caught my eye! I’m not putting my tree up quite yet, but I know now is the time to order so that it will be here once I’m ready to start decorating!
Today I’ve done a roundup of some affordable faux and dried wreaths and garlands that could be added to your Thanksgiving decor, but would also transition nicely into your holiday decor as well.
Once fall rolls around and the temperatures start dropping the first thing I like to do to update my home for the season is to add in a big cozy throw blanket. It’s a great piece that you can keep out through the winter and the additional layer is both pretty and functional. Today on the blog I’ve rounded up some great options that are budget friendly and would add a lot of texture and dimension to any room.
Tree collars have been so popular in recent years, and always sell out quickly and early! Today I’ve done a roundup of some great affordable styles for those of you that want to snag them before they sell out! I was able to keep the majority of the options under $40, so you can save a bit on your holiday decor budget if you’d like!

It’s been a while since I’ve done an affordable finds post, and today I’ve done an updated accent table roundup! An accent table is such a key item that can be added to many spaces in your home, and I’ve been seeing some really great options out there lately that won’t break the bank. I’ve done a roundup of tables under $150, along with one under $500.

It’s officially fall, and it’s reached that time in the season where we start to bring in some warmer layers to our bedroom to stay warm and cozy through these colder months. Our bedding just got a major update with a lot of great pieces from Serena and Lily, and today I thought I’d share a few bed styling tips!
The best news is that almost everything is 20% off right now! The sale officially starts Wednesday, but I have an early access code for those of you who want to make sure you can snag those pieces you’ve had your eye on before they sell out! Use code VIPSONLY at checkout.
It’s no secret that I love bedding, and I truly believe there is no replacement for a good night’s sleep. We’ve been using the same bedding for a few years now, so I thought it would be a great time to upgrade a few of our basics and update our throw pillows and blankets to give the space a more cozy look for fall.
I started with the beach club sheet set in fog. I love that the subtle embroidered detail gives the bedding a more custom look, and the sheets feel so silky! I never thought that sheets could make such a difference in a good nights sleep, but my husband and I have found that there really is no comparison between budget sheets and these—they are really worth the investment. I also love that the pillow cases have an envelope style closure at the ends so that the pillow insert stays tucked in and looking polished—a detail I haven’t yet found on other luxury sheets!
Next I added in the montauk coverlet and shams in white . No matter what the season, I always layer in a quilt or coverlet on top of my sheets so that we have the option to just use those two and can leave the heavy comforter and throws at the foot of the bed on warmer nights. I love the texture of the montauk coverlet—it has a nice amount of weight to it and still feels breathable so it’s been putting us right to sleep at night!
After the coverlet, I always add in a duvet and duvet cover. I upgraded our duvet cover to the cavallo linen duvet cover in flax chambray and it’s so soft! We had a budget linen duvet cover before, and even though we had washed it countless times, the cavallo duvet cover was softer right out of the box. I was also very happily surprised at how few wrinkles it had after washing it! I’m glad to know that I won’t have to steam the cover after washing it like we had to do with our old one.
After I added the basics, then came the fun part—styling! I wanted the bed to feel very inviting and cozy with plenty of texture. I brought in the oversized and amazing henely wool throw in ivory first. I have admired this throw for a long time, and it did not disappoint! It’s so well made and substantial, pictures really don’t do justice to how thick and heavy this blanket is.
I also added in seascape pillow in smoke and the silverwood pillow in silver. I wanted a super layered look, and I loved how the subtle texture in the seascape pillow ties in with the sheepskin texture in the silverwood pillow. I’ve been obsessed with all things sheepskin lately and I knew these pillows would be the perfect cozy layer the second I discovered them! They definitely did the trick, and when my husband saw the bed made up for the first time he said it looked so cozy he wanted to jump in!
In the fall I always tend to layer my decor a little bit more than I typically would in warmer seasons. It’s a great way to pull in a cozy touch to a space, but it’s also practical when considering bedding, since this time of year the seasons are transitioning and the weather fluctuates a lot. I can honestly say this is my favorite look I’ve ever created in our bedroom, and my husband and I are both looking forward to relaxing in this space this season!
